I'm not sure where some of the bad reviews to this place came from, but I live in the area and frequent this place often and the service and food are both consistently excellent. One reviewer complained that the vegetable ingredients for piled atop the broth. Well, yes, when you get Ramen that's traditionally the way it's served. Traditional Ramen is served very hot. The vegetables and other perishable ingredients are placed atop the broth and noodles so that when you get it you can mix them up right away best preserving freshness hostile allowing the flavor to permeate. The food here was served quickly, well prepared, and it's always delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to stop in if Ramen is what you're feeling that day.

What a gem this place is. We heard great things about this place and wanted to try it out while visiting friends in the Bangor area. We went in the evening (around 7pm) for dine-in. The atmosphere was great. The service was great. The food was EXTRODINARY! Fresh and delicious. We all shared appetizers (Gyoza). Yum. Yum. We all ordered build your own noodle bowls with broth. Mine was DEVINE! See photo. I ate the entire thing. Mine had pork, ramen, egg, broccoli, and so much more. We left at 8:30pm with full bellies. We can't wait to go back to Bangor and eat at Umani again.

Absolutely delicious! As someone who is gluten-free and dairy-free, I love that Umami Noodle Bar offers so many amazing options that fit my diet without compromising on flavor. The variety of spice levels is a game-changer, letting me customize my meal just the way I like it. Not only is the food fresh and healthy, but this is also my go-to spot to work—the internet is fast, there are plenty of outlets, and the atmosphere is perfect for getting things done while enjoying a great meal. If you’re looking for the best gluten-free and dairy-free dining spot in Bangor, this is it! The curry broth with rice noodles is my go to!

I love this place so much. Vegan friendly Last time I went there, the curry broth was vegan, and so fantastic. There is also a veggie broth that's vegan. So delicious. I have driven 2hrs out of my way to eat here because I got such a craving for their ramen! You can also get a can of good ME craft brew to go with your meal. Street parking walking distance is usually OK. Other shops and pubs to hit walking distance. Highly recommend!

We wanted to try a new restaurant and saw Umami. We started with a gyoza appetizer which hands down I will say it's the best gyoza I've had in Maine. For a meal I chose to try the pork tonkotsu ramen. The broth was awesome very flavorful but not overwhelming at all just delicious, mix in the perfectly gelatinized egg yolks and a melt in your mouth pork that kicks with a tasty flavor. My wife chose to build her own bowl with a curry broth which she has deemed a staple for the next time we stop in. Great boba tea and sake! Will definitely be back!

I would like to say this is the best noodles ive ever tried! The place is in a great spot. The windows make it fun to watch the outdoors. The place has a good menu. Let me do say that the wait.. was longer than expected! We waited for about 40 minutes. Let me say the wait was so totally worth it! They did give us a free app because of the wait. I was not disappointed. All the food is great. The boba looks amazing. 10/10 recommend and will come back in the future.
